Why did this book come to be?

This idea came to me two years ago and I couldn't let it go. I wanted parents to have at least half an hour in the evening when their child looks at them, not at a screen. And a time when the child doesn't just listen, but speaks up and shares.

Such a book delivers three things at once:

  • Genuine engagement. The child forgets about the screen and turns real pages. Because on every page it is their name, their face, their story.

  • Quality family time. It is more than a bedtime story — it is a shared moment. An evening half-hour when your child looks at you instead of a phone and tells you what they think.

  • Language and speech development. The prompts on the pages are based on the dialogic reading method. The child becomes the storyteller and the adult becomes the listener. The method has been studied since the 1980s.

What we do

  • Personalised illustration. The child is the hero of their own tale. Their face is in the artwork and their name is on every page.

  • Grammatical accuracy. The child's name is correctly inflected according to Kazakh grammar: Aibekke, Aibektıñ, Aibekpen. This matters — a name that is declined wrongly makes the whole story feel foreign.

  • Ongoing support for parents. We stay in touch after the purchase. For several months we send short, practical tips: what to ask today and what to do if your child hesitates to answer.

  • Our own folklore. The stories are built on Kazakh heritage — Er-Tostik, Samruk, Bayterek, Tausogar. No borrowed characters, only our own.

What makes us different

  • Original work. The stories and the artwork are original. Technology only places the child's face and name — it does not invent the story.

  • Printed in Almaty. I inspect every single book myself before it ships. Your order is ready in a few days, not weeks.

  • A full twelve pages. Books like this usually stop at ten. Ours has twelve, each with a full-page illustration.

Our goal

To build a modern universe of Kazakh fairy tales — a world where characters carry over from one book to the next and children look forward to the next one.

6 stories so far. More to come.
